A perennial favorite, we offer our archery program twice a year; both in spring and fall. It is inclusive of all ages, genders, and abilities. Individuals with physical and cognitive impairments can participate fully through the support of volunteers and simple adaptations. As a life-long sport, our participants range from never have shot before to having been in our program for twenty-five+ years. Those archers continue to come back year after year because of the community we have built and the comradery we share on the range.
Our program will teach you the basics of archery. Starting with rules of the range – safety first! You will learn how to stand and hold a bow correctly. How to properly anchor your shot, and with time how to aim. Practice makes perfect!
We look forward to having you join in the fun.
After years of being told what her son Johnny would never be able to do, Alina Galligan took a chance on adaptive archery—and discovered a community where he could truly belong. Through Northland Adaptive Recreation, Johnny found joy, connection, and a sense of pride, transforming not only his abilities but how his family sees his future. What began as a single activity became something much greater: renewed hope, possibility, and a place where Johnny can simply be a kid.
